Identify the option behind the brand
Hims presents more than one ED treatment on its public page. Generic sildenafil tablets appear alongside other medicines and compounded offerings. Start by identifying the exact product under discussion: a price attached to a generic tablet is not automatically the price for a chew or combination marketed by the same company. [Hims ED page]
The distinction also affects the evidence. FDA-approved generic medicines have a defined relationship to their reference products, while compounded drugs are not FDA-approved. A shared storefront does not remove that difference. Our medicine identity notes explain what to ask. [Generics] [Compounds]
Read the starting price with the selection
The Hims page advertises generic sildenafil starting at $22 per month. Treat that as a starting offer, then obtain the actual quantity, strength, amount charged and billing interval for the option prescribed. Dividing a larger payment into a monthly figure does not tell you when money leaves the account.
Ask whether the selected plan renews automatically and how future orders are changed or stopped. A refill policy is especially relevant if the initial prescription needs a clinical review before more medicine is sent. We have not tested Hims enrollment, billing or cancellation as patients.
Know where a question goes after delivery
Before starting, establish how to reach the prescribing team and the dispensing pharmacist. Ask which channel handles directions, an unwanted effect or a response that differs from expectations. MedlinePlus advises reporting inadequate benefit or side effects to the doctor rather than changing the prescription independently. [Patient information]
Use our instruction checklist when the package arrives. This profile summarizes the public menu and purchasing questions; it does not measure clinician quality, response time or treatment success. Hims is an additional option in the directory, without a clinical score or a claim that it suits every reader.
